The location and bed were excellent. The room was plain with bare walls and no decor and made it appear you were in a concrete box with no views

A thoroughly liveable city, Melbourne has a buzzy vibe and an Aussie sense of fun. There’s always something going on, and one of its many festivals is Moomba – Australia’s largest free arts festival. Well worth a visit are the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Aquarium, where you can walk through a clear tunnel as sharks swim over your head.
The city’s most recognizable landmark is Flinders Street Station, whose yellow and green façade matches the color of the historic Melbourne trams that still run around the world’s longest tram network. Keep an eye out for the street art as you travel.
Shopping in Melbourne is fantastic. Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market south of the Equator, while the La Trobe Street shopping center has over 300 stores. For food, don’t miss Little Italy - the Carlton area.
South of the Yarra River is St Kilda, home to the best beach and Albert Park, where the F1 Australian Grand Prix is held. However, this isn't the city’s only sports heritage. It’s also the home of Aussie Rules soccer and the MCG, a must-see for cricket fans.
Booking.com has a range of Melbourne accommodations from hotels to hostels and motels, some near Melbourne Airport.
This was my first time staying in Carlton. What a perfect location for when you need to visit places across Melbourne. Its half an hour to anywhere that you would be likely to need to go and 15 minutes to the airport. Food options here are great especially Lygon St.

So many things to do in Melbourne, and just not enough time to do them all. That makes Melbourne one of the best places to take holliday as each time you go there are still things to do you have not done before. So much Culture, Sport, recreation and history you will never get bored.

Melbourne is an amazing place with so much to see, taste and explore. Public transport is either free or good value. Making getting around really easy. Plenty of Uber rides available - next to no waiting! We ate at a different restaurant every night steak night at the Pub, quirky cafe bars!
Vietnamese and Italian - from the super cheap to the more exclusive options Melbourne has it all. There is entertainment galore - shows to see, clubs, fascinating historical museums, art galleries as well as incredible shopping and more traditional theme parks like Sea Life, and the old Melbourne Jail - still in the heart of Melbourne. People watching is great as you see all the colour and character that truly is the life blood of this incredible city.

"Melbourne – where the coffee is strong and so is the temptation to never leave!"
Melbourne surprised me in all the best ways. One minute you're strolling through elegant laneways lined with incredible street art, the next you're sunbathing in St Kilda or caught in a sudden downpour. (Yes, the weather does enjoy a bit of drama.)
The food scene? Top-notch. The coffee? Life-changing. And the vibe? A perfect blend of relaxed and buzzing—like the city itself can't decide whether to throw a festival or take a nap. Either way, I was here for it.
Pro tip: Always pack both sunglasses and a rain jacket. Trust me.
Already planning my return—if only to make sure the croissants in Carlton weren’t just a beautiful dream.

A perfect location for either venturing into the city or exploring other local suburbs by tram less than 100 metres from the door. Room was clean, comfortable and very roomy. Whilst other hotels may have more modern bathrooms we found the standard very good and good value for money. We have stayed here several times and would make it our go to place if exploring other parts of Melbourne outside of the CBD.
Great location for walking in all directions around Melbourne CBD. Very close to the Vic Markets and Southern Cross Station. Very clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in the attached apartments building rather than the hotel so it was a bit more like an air b'n'b experience. The apartment was small but felt spacious, it was clean and comfortable for four adults.
The deal with parking was great as was easily the cheapest hotel parking in the area we found, and breakfast included - great value for our budget. So close to Marvel Stadium without being in Docklands which was the reason for our stay, but also just a quick walk to Southbank or the Spencer St Outlet if you don't want to deal with the CBD (like us)! Staff were lovely too.
The breakfast was awesome great selection on the menu to choose from. The location was perfect within walking distance to many great sites like laneways NGV, CBD, Fed Square. The hotel was so clean it really did exceed my expectations !! Also how good is Melbourne I haven't been for many years such a cool city !!!
Speedy check in, friendly staff and great rooms......I have stayed here many times and it remains my go to hotel when I need to be in Melbourne. This is a great value hotel very accessible and great location too. Very easy to walk into the CBD, MCG or just enjoy Southbank.
