It was just next to Corderie Royale and was close yo other tourist attractions.
The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated.
It was also very relaxing to chill at their restaurant/bar. You can see some boats pass by which really entertained my son.
The staffs were very helpful and friendly. They also responded quickly when I asked questions about the room using this app.

We were so happy with our stay at Bleu Soleil. Laure was very friendly and communicative and, lucky for our particular circumstance, very accommodating about our request for an early arrival. We appreciated the cellar for our bikes, as well as access to a washing machine. The apartment itself was so nice and bright, and very efficient with all it offered in the kitchen. The bed was super comfortable too, and the shower hot and refreshing.

Good Location for us driving from San Sebastian back to the channel ports. Friendly staff good restaurant, enjoyed the evening meal we ate there. The room had everything we needed was quiet the beds were comfortable and the shower hot, with good pressure. Only a one night stop over, so a limited exposure to the facilities; we didn't have breakfast in the morning as we wanted to look around La Rochelle before setting off.

When we hadn’t arrived close to the office closing they called, gave us the code to enter & left us a key. This is a road side motel for travelers needing a place to sleep. It worked for us as that’s what we needed.
Rochefort is a very nice town by any standards. It has lots of history in that it was where the French made their eary war ships and there is a dedicated museum to this, The town is laid out on a grid system so its easy to navigate. Huge street market once a week, plus an indoor market place. There are lots of other museums and you should get on line to see all the attractions that are available.
The locals are very friendly and helpful, the cafes vibrant and well priced and the whole town is clean.

The town is easy to get around.
The town is easy to get around. It has beautiful architecture and lots of history. There are good restaurants and places to picnic. The port areas are pretty and a good place to sit and relax with a drink. The museum of French life is well worth visiting.

Please make travellers aware that on arrival at this hotel...
Please make travellers aware that on arrival at this hotel there could be a chance of a scam because they told me that their internet was down and that I had to pay in cash. The bill presented was considerably more than the agreed confirmed price with Booking.com. I questioned this amount, and they told me it was for local taxes and although unhappy I paid 96.82 Euro when I suspected the confirmed price was £52 +2 breakfasts which at the exchange rate for that day came to 71.24Euro. The room was adequate but very cold and even though the heating was working it took a long time to become comfortable. On closer inspection of the invoice, I noted that I had been charged for five breakfasts not local taxes although there was only my wife and I in our party and we were booked in a double room. When I took this up with the receptionist, she called the manager who insisted that this was local taxes and out of his control when the bill actually stated that we had been charged for five petit dejeuner, not the two we had ordered. The manager refused to budge and was most insistent that this was local tax on tourists but relented when I said that I was not happy about this as there was no mention of local taxes on the invoice only the extra breakfasts and I said that I was going to call the local police to look into the matter at which point he refunded me the cost of the three extra breakfasts and blamed the mix-up on Booking.com. I suspect that this man was operating a scam on foreign travellers and the payment in cash made it possible for him to skim the extra cash off the top. We stayed in three other Ibis properties on our trip and were charged exactly what was stated on the confirmation notice sent after we had booked. The speed with which he refunded the excess charge when I mentioned calling the local police also added to my suspicions.

A not too busy city with everything anyone could wish for.
A not too busy city with everything anyone could wish for. Has style and a period elegance combined with a history of greatness. However very important to be aware of ‘Priorité à droite' as many cross-roads.

Sandrine and Pascal are the kindest hosts. Beautifully decorated and styled Boutique type hotel. Fantastic breakfast which we had in the garden. Easy Parking on their own premises, EV charging facilities at walking distance. Both fast charging at 35KW and 22KW. The hotel is very centrally located and nice restaurants are just a few minutes walking away. Ile D’Oleron and Fouras a short drive by car with their beautiful beaches.
This is something different, a unique place with a lovely inner courtyard filled with plants and animals. The apartment we stayed in was decorated and furnished in an eclectic manner, with pictures and objets d’art everywhere. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk into the centre of Rochefort. Delphine was very friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
Only the sound of birdsong , the , location and elegance , spotless, brilliant decor !
Great market on the Saturday, in town and amazing seafood indoor market too .! Good restaurants nearby .great parking .. need I say more .
Thanks especially to Lucas and (Mimosa)Melissa !
You are lucky, Mercure hotels to have these front of staff .
Only stayed there a night on my way to Toulouse. It's a typical basic hotel with a decent and clean bedroom and bathroom. It also has a restaurant but didn't use it so can't judge the kitchen.
