We chose this hotel because it was in the right position for us to catch a bus to Malang. The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was convenient and satisfactory…great view. The room was quiet. We loved the roll on the bed, with the pillow.

The most wonderful hotel we have ever stayed at. The hotel breathes history. You can join a tour of the hotel followed by a high tea. I definitely recommend this! We had the tour with Anna, who also checked us in. She is very welcoming and knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and the pool is a nice plus. The room was very large with a beautiful bathroom including a bathtub. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

    Surabaya is a good stepping stone for other places. We didn’t really tour the city, mainly because we had other plans around it. The air quality was a bit disturbing. There were a lot of accomodation options, which was good. Would recommend it if you want to see ruins nearby or fly to Pangkalan Bun (Kalimantan).

    to our surprise Surabaya has been changing a lot, all main road has been widened i.e. Jl Achmad Yani , even the gardens aren't well intact like the era ibu former Walikota Risma, but still many city gardens added every where. the airport Juanda also has been upgraded make you feel like in the international airport , bu I flew domestic. btw PELITA air also very recommended, am amazed with the exact ETA and ETD , even in my returned flight to Jakarta , it was 20 min beyond the schedule. Bravo Pelita air. last but not least the airplane condition is also very acceptable Airbus 320 .

    Movenpick hotel is very clean, nice big rooms with wonderful, amazing & friendly staff Elsa, Shanaz, Mali, Tyas. Elsa the boss of housekeeping team made my room every day, clean, nice smell. Every night when I come to my room made me very happy, clean & nice smell. Good girl Elsa. Shanaz, Mali & Tyas were my guides. Everyday they arrange my trip & I really enjoyed. God bless there hearts. Mali, Tyas & Shanaz were helping me to order Grab& Places to visit. The best customer service, friendly with lots of smile. Very respectful staff & wonderful service.

    Surabaya is an amazing city!

    Surabaya is an amazing city! Unlike Jakarta, it has much less traffic, making it a more pleasant place to navigate. The working lifestyle here is peaceful and unhurried, allowing you to truly enjoy the rhythm of daily life. It's a fantastic destination for travelers, with an abundance of delicious food to explore. I highly recommend visiting Surabaya – you won't be disappointed!

    The customer service was excellent throughout the stay. Check in was fast and we were given early check in without having to request. The Hotel also connect and engaged with us via WhatsApp. It is very useful when I need help in food recommendations or how to get around Surabaya conveniently. Every staff is very attentive and friendly. The best thing is the service standard and food quality is very consistent across the globe. It also have all the room amenities. I really enjoy staying at Shangri-La for all my travels.
