Convenient location, an easy walk from the station with suitcases and a slightly longer walk to the historic centre. The bedroom, bathroom and communal areas were spotlessly clean. The soaps provided were really nice. The breakfast was delicious (especially the home made yoghurt and porridge). Valentino and Ferdinando were perfect hosts, and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The weather was perfect too, so we were able to enjoy the sun terrace.
There was a full range of leaflets with information on Arezzo in the reception area. These were very useful and a welcome extra, given that many places have no information available.
Valentino's restaurant is just around the corner and we enjoyed a delicious meal there on our first night.

We spent 4 days visiting all the sights, museums and churches. I’m All within walking distance, but be prepared for lots of up and downhill. Lots of good restaurants a short walk from each other. Took local bus to Cortona. Extremely steep climb, but views were outstanding. Many visitors spend less time in Arezzo but it is so historic we found more time allowed us to explore and absorb the history and culture.

Arezzo is not an "exceptional" town, in that its architecture and sights are relatively mundane. I chose it as a town that isn't touristy because I wanted to experience a real Italian town, and it is exactly that. The people weren't particularly patient with my limited Italian, and NO ONE speaks English in Arezzo! There is the old, central and historic part of town--which is nice and has lots of shops and restaurants; and there is the outer part of Arezzo that is more like a regular suburb. So if you go, make sure to stay in the historic area.

Arezzo is a stunning city full of history, art, and culture but without the crowds of Florence or Siena. The medieval old town is incredibly well-preserved, with charming piazzas and beautiful churches. Arezzo was also the main filming location for La Vita è Bella.
The food in Arezzo is amazing and the local wines, especially Chianti from the nearby vineyards, are a perfect match.

I would recommend this smaller town to anyone looking for a highlight of Italy without the crowds. More laidback with just as much to see in town or other areas a short distance from Arezzo. Great base town to stay if you want to experience all there is in Tuscany

Arezzo itself is beautiful but be sure to visit the beautiful village of Cortona which is a quick train ride from Arezzo. Once you get off the train purchase shuttle bus tickets at the cafe at the station which cost $1.70 which will take you on the drive up to Cortona.

A beautiful charming historic city with so much to see and explore. It's full of life, shops, restaurant, cafes, market and offers many amenities. Loved walking through the narrow streets and the many interesting buildings, churches, museums, galleries and the historic Grande Piazza. I fell in love with Arezzo at first sight.

We loved our stay at Hotel Le Capanne! We were so exhausted from being tourists in Rome and Positano, that coming to Arezzo and relaxing by the pool all day was the perfect antidote. The staff at the Hotel are so accommodating and will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen isn't open for lunch, but they made us sandwiches anyway so that we wouldn't have to travel into town. Loved, loved, loved this place!! And the in-house restaurant was exceptional! We ate there every night of our stay without question.
- good location near the city center by foot (around 15 min)

- gated parking with adequate number of of spaces
- Person who runs the hotel very friendly and ready to give advice
It was best accomodation in Italy which we’ve ever stayed at: wonderful location, amazing garden and views, interiors designed with passion for natural materials, comfortable beds, very nice staff and exquisite cuisine. We do plan to return. Jana and Daniel
All round this place was gorgeous- for a first timer in Tuscany my mouth fell open when I arrived
The pasta in the restaurant was the best I tasted during my time in Italy
