Property clean and amenities provided. Owners were kind, friendly and helpful. The only drawback would be the train that ran less than 20 feet from our door. It went by every two hours or so. Bring earplugs because the trains run all night. That or turn up the air conditioning and keep windows closed. The beach was very clean although be prepared as the water is very cold. The area near the pier had some unsavory characters and panhandlers. So I did not feel comfortable walking there in the evening. Not a lot of good restaurants within walking distance. Old Orchard Beach has plenty of shopping and choices to pick for eating. We ate at the Bell Buoy Restaurant and had a delicious meal. We walked from our hotel to the restaurant and shopping. If you want wall to wall bodies, lots of noise, lights, music, activities and stimulation then this is the place for you! It was just too overwhelming for my travel mates and I.
