    Pensacola Beach is marvelous.

Pensacola Beach is marvelous. Although it was a double-red-flag day when we went to the beach on the gulf side (i.e., against the law to go into the water because of very strong waves & rip currents), we still had a blast. Also loved the proximity of our apartment unit to stores, restaurants, bars, etc.

All activities we planned were excellent and we really enjoyed the area. We went to Mobile to tour the USS Alabama Battleship and WWII submarine Drum which was amazing. We visited the Pensacola Naval Air Station to watch the US Navy Blue Angels fly. We went out on a Dolphin cruise in Pensacola Bay. We drove the coastline several times from Destin to Fort Pickens and spent some time at the Fort. We enjoyed the seafood everywhere, especially at the Wharf and Dewey Destin's. Needed more time to visit the Marlin and Fish House. Only complaint was the 13.85 service fee for a 3.00 bridge toll to get on the island. You can avoid it by driving to the Navarre Beach bridge which causes an hour and a half additional detour depending on where you are heading. I called to complain about it, but everyone pointed the finger at the other so city, rental car agency, other entity? Who knows but not very kind.

This is the best beach in the USA.

This is the best beach in the USA. Walk to restaurants/bars/live music and activities. This town does not get good concerts but it does have a lot of positive things to do and participate in. Beautiful white sand, warm clear water most of the year. It is sometimes burdened by seaweed, that's mother nature, but this is the only place I've seen who gets the tractor and cleans it up before it starts smelling and attracts biting flies. They care about tourism and it shows.

Beautiful beach. Tourist oriented but not in bad way. Restaurants were great. We are at Red Fish Blue Fish. Yummy mahi fish sandwich. Ate at Cajun restaurant. Good creole and delicious beinyets. Ate at Tacos Rock in town. Very good.

There are 2 people that stood out.

There are 2 people that stood out. Our first encounter soon after arriving was Lonnie, the Maintenance Man. We went to look at the pool area & it was not open just yet. He was so friendly & let us know the opening time. At the same time there was an obviously drunk man giving him grief because it wasn’t open. The way Lonnie handled him was so professional & loving at the same time. Each time we encountered Lonnie over the next 4 days, he always greeted us & made us feel so wonderful staying at the property. The second outstanding person was Miss Elizabeth who oversaw the daily breakfast. Aside from the breakfast being outstanding, she was so good at making sure everything was kept up & in order. Lonnie had mentioned to us adding blueberries in their waffle makers. I thought they had them available but found out from Ms. Elizabeth they didn’t have them all the time. She went to the market later that day to purchase her needed breakfast items & made it a point of getting blueberries. She held them back & when she saw us the next morning, gave them to us. That’s called above & beyond personal outstanding service. Everything you wanted from the beach, access to stores was easy to walk to from the perfectly located hotel. We travel a lot & stay in name brand hotels or Airbnb. Surf & Sand stands out with excellence against any of those. The beds were very comfortable & gave a great night’s sleep to all 3 of us. (Husband, wife & adult son). Can’t recommend Surf & Sand high enough.

Absolutely lovely hotel with great staff (apart from reception and management- see more later). Fabulous bar area, really helpful and friendly bar staff and restaurant staff, lovely location and we loved staying here. The gentleman taking care of the door/luggage/general help (I wish I could remember his name) was an absolute joy.

Walking distance from beach and fishing pier. Great food options pretty nearby, not too far from downtown area on mainland (about 15 minutes drive). Very cute area, highly recommend taking the time to walk around and visit some of the shops and art galleries. We will be back and we will stay at this hotel again.

The breakfast was good as if any hotel that does continental type breakfast. I did like it was something for everyone to eat whether pancakes or cereal . The cinnamon rolls were so delicious i believe I had at least three during my stay. It was a good accommodation.

We were visiting with a toodler and it was a best decision ever as they have beach access particularly for the hotel guests and they provide towels as well.
