One of the first Bali resorts, Kuta has a long, sandy beach and great nightlife - reasons why it’s one of Indonesia’s top tourist spots.
Another popular draw is Kuta surfing. From gentle rollers to lefthanders, the waves are great for all abilities. Several shops in town sell big-brand surf gear at knockdown prices, while other shopping options include Kuta Square, Discovery Mall and Bali Mall Galleria.
There’s also no shortage of places to eat. Street vendors offer local fare, while international cuisine is served in restaurants of the Kuta hotels on Booking.com. When the sun goes down, the heat goes up, as the bars and clubs in party zone Jalan Legian kick into life. For something more refined, the bars by Kuta Beach waterfont are a great spot to watch the sunset with a refreshing cocktail.
If you’re up early enough to see the Sanur Beach sunrise, you might get to see locals throwing traditional offerings into the sea. Spirituality is a big part of Balinese life and there are yoga and meditation classes, not to mention spas to revive the senses.
The gateway to southern Bali, Denpasar Airport is right on the edge of the town, so it won’t be long before you can stretch out and soak up the sun.

Kuta is a great place to stay - it is vibrant and lively and there are many attractions for people. There are lots of great restaurants and bars and we always feel safe walking around.
You can have a massage every day if you like, at a very reasonable price and Kuta is very easy to get around once you get the hang of the one way traffic.
We found it very easy and safe to exchange AU$ for IDR at the bank at Breakwater Shopping Mall and it was also excellent to have two chemists with good supplies.

Good for a sunset - small surf fir an energetic swim or just enjoy a drink with tbe local vendors trying to make a dollar from tbe tourists
Not well lite so would move in when tbe traders pack up — it’s safe but be on your guard and be aware of your surroundings as minor theft or bag snatching is always an option for some

Only a short walk to the beach, the hotel is in a quiet location with no traffic or noise . The pool and gardens are an oasis of greenery clean and well maintained
Breakfast was very good we had the American breakfast and really enjoyed the plate of tropical fruits served by the friendly and very helpful staff. The menu was not large but the meals we tried were delicious and very affordable
Bali Bungalo is the perfect location close to the beach restaurants and shopping at the mall .. Would stay there again on our next trip to Bali !
Everything! Our 2nd time staying here and we’ll be back. Fantastic Managers, lovely staff, good value for money. Food is always fresh! Despite the size of this Hotel it is really quiet. Repeat guests, we’ve met many people who’ve been coming year after year. Voted best Spa in Bali…their treatments are blissful! Family friendly.
Location to mall, beach, good restaurants, Poppies Lane II. The hotel pool and breakfast. The property is old Bali style. The rooms are large but dated. For the low price of the hotel the location and facilities are good. Dont come if you want luxury, come if you want basic accommodation in a good location at a cheap price.
The location is good. We went Uluwatu, Seminyak, Bali Safari and Marine Park and getting to and back wasn’t difficult. The service is good, the reception is helpful as well. They top up all ammenities everyday. The pool view is amazing and the night life at the hotel is good for families.
Bintang Bali Villas are a wonderful change from staying in the main hotel, private and self enclosed, with a lovely small pool and well laid out and decorated rooms. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of food styles.
